What a mess..

Not a very pretty sight at the moment. We’ve kinda thrown things by the trailer, no organization outside whatsoever. The bad weather last week didn’t help. Or the fact that it took us a couple days to get the inside organized (much more important and yet still not completely done).

But as I sit here and rest my aching knee (old injury), all I have to do is turn my chair to the side and get a beautiful peaceful view of our canyon.

But,  the hubby is done checking the fluid levels in the truck, so here we go for another load. This run is to get the chickens and take them to my parents’ house. The hens are going to live at the parents’ house until we get more settled in and a better water system figured out.

And speaking of water, our family of 4 used a total of 7 gallons of water for all our needs over two and a half days. Talk about conserving water! I’ll have to write another post about it soon.

Till then, be blessed.

About Maridy

Hi, I'm Maridy. I have many interests in life. Right now, my husband and I and our two girls (ages 14 and 7), along with a couple of dogs currently live in a 33ft trailer while we build our house on our homestead property in Northern Nevada (Castle Rock Homestead). Follow us on that journey to building our high desert homestead from the ground up! I also have a passion for hiking and have a blog for that, too. (Journey in the Wilderness) Join me there as I explore the beautiful outdoor landscapes of Northwestern Nevada and Eastern California. And finally, I love historical costuming. Though I haven't been able to do much of that in recent years, I'm hoping that "once the house is built" I'll be able to get back into it more. See what all we've done with that on my Yesteryear Productions blog.

Whaddya think?
